Steve Bennett
Steve joined the firm in August 2008 after having been a partner at Bentleys Chartered Accountants for approximately 20 years. Steve’s focus is to provide optimum outcomes for businesses and their owners. His motto is ‘rigour with vigour ‘ and he has assisted his clients with a variety of commercial and tax outcomes including profit and cashflow forecasting, profit enhancement, business planning, asset protection, structuring and business succession. He also provides litigation support services including forensic accounting, independent valuations, economic loss reports and business disputes.
Steve has a particular interest in supporting smart start-up companies and has completed the Pyksis/ACT Government course “From Concept to Commercialisation”. He was a founding Director and remains an active board member of Capital Angels Pty Limited, a company established to facilitate the connection between entrepreneurs and angel / venture capital investors.
Steve has led a team to develop and successfully commercialise a tax software tool designed for accountants which provides clients with proactive advice on their future PAYG tax instalment obligations. Steve loves a hit of golf with friends and is a passionate and loyal St Kilda supporter. He dreams of the day when their illusive second premiership will become a reality!
